A trip to Perak Darul Ridzuan

Here goes the wan kat gang having a trip to Perak on the 8th of March 2009. As usual, the journey started early in the morning with a satisfying first meal of the day before we move on towards the South. The weather has a sudden change while we were on our way but gratefully it turns out to be a perfect morning when we arrived at our first destination- Gua Tempurung. After visiting the cave, we moved on to visit the Kellie’s Castle which was located at Batu Gajah. However, the weather turns to be overcast after we have had our lunch at the town. We stop by here and there along our way to pay visits to the local specialty shop and bought some fruits and tidbits. Here we discover something new– the “Drive-through tau fu fa”. As you can see from the picture, these vehicles were lining up and waiting to take order and to be served.

It started to rain before we manage to get to our next destination-D.R.Seenivasagam Park. However, the drizzly weather doesn’t stop our mood to have fun thus we still insist of going for a walk at the garden. Still, we were unable to visit the Museums, Hot Spring and other Caves as the rain wouldn’t stop. This trip was initially planned to be a two days trip however, the rainy weather cause us to return home that same night and to give up on the intention of visiting Maxwell Hill the next morning.

Birthday- February

Here comes another wan kat member’s birthday- our pretty Miss Tan.S.L. on the 16th of February 2009 ^^ (in addition, celebrating Mr. Tan.R.H. belated birthday as well). We were indeed having a great time celebrating her birthday at Autocity and needless to say, we have once again gathered together for all the wan kat stuffs where:

- Her present was wan kat enough (attendees should know why ^^)
- The flower was given in a wan kat way (the pity little child ^_^”)
- Having our dinner at 10pm (everyone is famishing x_x)
- Gobbling up the birthday cake before our dinner was served (Charm… =_=”)
- Helping O.T.H. to gain weight (3x portion…ngek ngek ^0^)
- Wandering around Sg.Pinang late in the night ;p

Birthdays- January

A New Year often begins with parties, but for me it isn’t merely New Year celebrations but birthday celebrations! Yupe…celebrating the birthday of the wan kat people. ^^ 5 of the wan kat members were born in January thus making January a bustling yet exciting month for us. The first celebration was for Thieng & Leng on the 3rd of January 08 where we have our dinner at Sumida- a Japanese Restaurant. The next celebration for Yunn and Geik was held at Sunset Bistro on the 6th of January 08. Before the gathering, it was definitely a hard time and brain cracking moment for Yoong Wei and I where we have to go around searching for 4 birthday gifts and a cake. :p Nevertheless, we are indeed having a wonderful moment laughing together, crazy-ing together, wan kat-ing together and ki siao-ing together. ^^ So…who’s the next? Hehe...

Life

Life is indeed too frail to triumph over death. A living being can easily be defeated by either any accident, illness, injury, or even with no cause. Hence, it is important to live as if there is no tomorrow.

Headache

Hmmp…kinda difficult to select pictures for blogs and uploads nowadays as there are indeed too many pictures to filter! This is definitely due to the number of trips we are having since our university time and the increased unit of cameras in our gang lately. The recent Cameron trip already uses up all our batteries and ended up with 940 pictures taken! (There will certainly be more pictures taken if it is not due to the flat batteries and short time frame =_=”) We really wonder will we need to purchase extra batteries and to upgrade our memory cards before our next trip.

Busy…Very Busy -.-"

Busy busy busy…I’ve been spending almost a day just to clear my mailbox! Nevertheless, worst come to worst, these emails were not accumulated but are totally “fresh”! Thousands of thanks are to be ascribed to the wan kat people (especially to those active contributors)! 200++ emails a day really making my life full of “excitement”. Delete also bo eng ah, siao ki! Belum sempat delete already kena bomb liao >.<

Cameron Highlands - Strawberry Trip

18th & 19th October 2008- This was the day where 5 of the wan kat members took a late journey up to the hill heading to our weekend destination~ Cameron Highlands. It was approximately 6pm when we arrived at Brinchang where we have been stopping-by here and there along our way to capture several snapshots of the fascinating scenery. Although we’ve tried to book for hotels room a week in advance, nevertheless almost all of the rooms were fully booked and hence we doesn’t seem to have any other options than Hotel Rosa Passadena. Providentially the room is spacious enough to accommodate all of us. We randomly selected one of the steamboat restaurant nearby our residing hotel to settle our dinner as some of us were starving. However, the steamboat can only be rated as C because it wasn’t so tasty and the serving does not worth the per head charges. After the dinner, we walk to the nearby night market and bought some snacks and honey and we called it a day. We went for the buffet breakfast in the hotel early the next morning before we move on to the cactus farm and BOH Tea plantation and head home.

 

Conclusion: Fresh Strawberries + Strawberry Dessert + Strawberry Juice + Dried Strawberries = Yucks!!!
